Hello again. I have just completed my first precinct convention and it will not be my last.

The way it works is; The elections process needs delegates from the populace to vote on things. Needs, opinions, referendums, candidates and so forth. This process starts with people getting involved at the local precinct level.
Mine is authorized 7 delegates to the State/County convention. If enough people show (I was the only one in mine) then it proceeds this way:
The attendees are sworn in. Once that is done, they elect who will be the precinct convention chairperson (for their precinct). Also they elect a temporary secretary to record the official numbers of attendance and votes.
If there are concerns the people wish to bring up, this is when they do so. Then, the attendees vote on who will go to the State/County convention. If there are more volunteers than position for delegates, the voting carries a majority rule. If there are not enough attendees to fill all of the delegate slots, then that precinct goes under represented. Alas, if there are NO attendees for a particular precinct, that precinct will not have a voice.
I was the only one in attendance for my precinct as others were for theirs.
As such, I was the Chairperson, Secretary and finally I voted myself as a delegate. And it was approved.
Interesting process, but I have come to learn that The People MUST get involved.
If not, then we get what we have now in DC, utter chaos with no accountability.

WeThePeople is seeking to correct that oversight. To simply say that we will vote new representatives in does not solve the problem of accountability. Unfortunately, we are stuck with whoever is voted in for their respective terms without oversight.
If you have trouble imagining what I am talking about, try this;
Since the first bailout with the last George Bush, the People have been: writing, calling, faxing, demonstrating, petitioning, mailing, screaming, and any other form of communication to include flooding the Congress with pink documents that if stacked would be three times the height of the Washington monument. Did this change the opinion of the Congress as to what We The People wanted?
No, it did not. The congress passed the bailout anyway. So what next?
We voted in November of 2010, and gave the House of Representatives a republican majority, nearly replacing all of those who did not abide by our wishes would get a pink slip. They did, and were replaced.
The new congress is no better. They turned right around a voted for yet more borrowing and raising the debt ceiling.
Something must change, the continual voting and hoping the fresh water will cleanse the pond scum is a fantasy.
Voting out all incumbents will prove our intent, but it does not solve the primary issue.
Oversight.
That is where this time and place idea comes in that "The People" are dedicated to insure that Federal Government, State Government and on down to the local levels are being watched carefully and by a vigilant People.

Join us, as Americans restoring the Rights and Liberty to this great Nation.
I yearn for the day when our beacon of FREEDOM shines brightly once again.
When you do what you always do, you get what you always got.

Thanks a bunch and even-though I was a member in We The People when it started but I never was active and I to realize this is what the Liberals want is for everyone else to sit idly by while they ransack our country, take away our liberties, and keep the taxes ,even though they are illegal, always going upward trying to ruin and destroy what little we have left, the on ly reason we are all not under martial law right now is the fact we still have our guns at home ,allowing us to be able to resist.
The black panthers are now calling for bloodshed and are being called the Black Klu Klux Klan ,so my frriends if something isnt done to curb this violence they are advocating,it will happen ,and not far away,I am concerned. Kind of like Vietnam , so hard to know who are your friends, and who are the enemies. Yet some of my friends are black and I would stake my life on them any day of the week, a terrible shame what a disgusting group can do to their race, when they so obviously want violence and to take our laws away and make their own that protects them as or pres.does.
I am sure that by now everyone has seen where Obama told the Russian Pres, to hold off on everything/changes until after he got re-elected,then he would have more lee-way. Care to guess what that means, he will try to finnish sellling America out as he has done for the last almost 4 yrs ,someone had better wake up, or be ready to enjoy their death!!!!!
You certainly have my agreement about our congressmen, there is not a one that has the intestional fortitude of a pissant, and certainly none have the work effort of a drone bee. We in Texas are no different and we have members that have enough clout behind them to really help the American middle class, but unfortunately their backbones are made from the same yellow strip that most others are, Boehner being the worst of the entire bunch, he to me is more democrat, and obama kiss ass than any of the other members of their club, we are never listened to,so that makes us good for one thing and one only, so I truly believe it is time for us to strike back, in two days, when you decide to pay your taxes, simply walk out instead ,take those funds and enjoy yourselves, and we can stop their excessive spending,by just not sending our living to the spenders...
Thank you
