I determined the need for recognition to the people I encounter by providing them a momento of the experience.
Many times if a potential volunteer is on the brink of a decision to join or not, that after you are no longer in influence, they will have doubts. I wish to increase the impact of the presence during the initial encounter and leave a mark so profound that the inidividual will continue to think about what I have said and WANT to inform theselves about our mission.
I have therefore designed a buisness card with this in mind. Just as any business card has a specific task, the design on my card (which I hope can be "OUR" card) will continue to press the individual to seek out what the mission is.
When I part with a hearty hand shake, I will provide them with my card, or maybe more than one. All of the needed information is on the card's front to bring them into the fold.
I would like to propose, that everyone have a uniform card (my design or someone elses) to unite our mission. When someone sees OUR template on anyone's card, they will come to KNOW that we mean business and that we are organized.
