Rose Lear Heads for Washington Final Days May Be Spent Asking for Answers DC Press Conference This Thursday 14 days ago on March 5th, Rose Lear began a hunger strike in her home city of Muskegon, Michigan to force the U.S. Government to respond to the Petition for Redress of Grievances formally served on the Congress last November. Today, Lear decided to spend what may be her final days on the doorsteps of the U.S. Capitol and at the federal offices at 1111 Constitution Avenue where those that administer and enforce the tax laws of this nation work for the IRS. Lear wants to personally meet with her Congressional representatives and has initiated requests to schedule brief meetings with them on Capitol Hill. Bob Schulz, Chairman of We The People Foundation reports that the staff members of Lear’s Congressmen were, at this point, "well aware" of Rose Lear and expressed both surprise and some uneasiness when told of her personal decision to go to Washington. Lear and We The People will hold a press conference at the National Press Club in Washington, DC on Thursday, March 20. The exact time for the 1 hour press conference has not been set as yet, but will be between noon and 3 PM Thursday. As we have done before, the press conference will be broadcast live over the internet and made available immediately afterward as an archive at www.ConnectLive.com/events/wethepeople. A professional video photographer will record additional segments of Rose’s trip to Washington and Capitol Hill.Attending the press conference will be Pastor Greg J. Dixon of the Indianapolis Baptist Temple, whose church was seized in 2001 for failure to withhold federal taxes from church employees wages. Since the seizure, Pastor Dixon has become an ardent student of the U.S. income tax fraud as it pertains to churches and speaks publicly about the unlawful seizure of his church. Also attending will be Brian Scott, founder and trustee for Catholics for
Just Government. Scott, in full support of Lear had this to say:
"Government: Bring peace to the conflict. Ms. Rose and WTP have a
fundamental Right to Redress. Depriving workers of just remuneration and
(interfering) with the disposal of it is a sin. Truly this is a Catholics’
social justice issue." Rose will stay in the immediate DC area and will be accompanied by her
sister Anna Mesbergen. Rose relayed to WTP that she knows the travel will take "it out of her" and that she doesn’t want to leave her home. Rose is quoted, "I hate it there. I hate Washington. But I have to go. This has to be done. God has brought me to this mission and I will do it. Just like the Berlin wall, this wall of lies will soon, and suddenly fall. We’ve just to keep trying. More and more of us, everyday. HE will make it happen through us." WTP must also ask for your help. The Foundation has spent, and is spending significant amounts of financial resources to help both Rose and Bill Lear. At this time we must ask for your support so we can cover the thousands of dollars we anticipate spending (and have already incurred) in hotels, airfare, legal, press conference and other costs associated with the Lear situation. WTP has chosen to help the Lears and take a stand to end this dark period
of our nation’s history. We ask you to stand with us and help provide us the
means to get answers for Rose, to free Rose’s husband from prison and
quickly return Bill and Rose Lear back to their family home in Michigan. Please Donate to WTP.
