On June 1, 1999, four citizens from New York State filed lawsuit in defense of the US
Constitution and the proper war making powers of the federal government.
The defendants are: The United States Executive Office of the President, William
Jefferson Clinton, President; United States Department of Defense, William Cohen,
Secretary; and the United States Congress, Trent Lott, President Pro Tempore of the
Senate and Dennis Hastert, Speaker of the House of Representatives.
